Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 3 tablespoons (45g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon certified gluten-free baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated certified gluten-free Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate Eggs: Place egg whites in one bowl and yolks in another.
  3. Mix Yolks: Beat egg yolks with cream cheese, baking powder, salt, and honey until smooth.
  4. Whip Egg Whites: Add cream of tartar to egg whites and beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold Together: Gently fold one-third of the egg whites into the yolk mixture, then fold in the remaining whites without deflating them.
  6. Shape: Spoon the batter into 6 mounds on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Cool: Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
